While it’s beyond me why a tech magazine like wired put out an article on mod action figures, it’s kind of an interesting article anyways. I like Mods myself, and I can’t imagine proper toy producers like Hasbro and Mattel don’t pay close attention to them too. The lead-in article is inaccurate, incorrectly attributing much of the Mod world to improving articulation. Sometimes Mods (the lazy ones) promise better paint, but the vast majority are created in order to immortalize a character that would have otherwise never been produced. Anyways, there’s a nice eclectic mix of figures, some stronger than others, but worth checking out all the same…
